● July 1, 1881: Paul Reuß founded an workshop 
near Artern Railway Station, promoting the 
industrialization of local agricultural machinery. He 
founded Aktienmaschinenfabrik Kyffhäuserhütte 
and the AKRA brand.
● 1895: Entered the field of dairy skimming 
centrifuges, expanding its core business direction.
● 1897: Reorganized into a joint-stock company, 
launched AKRA as its core trademark, and 
mass-produced KAHA/Planet/Zenit series of small 
manual milk centrifuges.
● 1909: Products were sold to Europe and overseas 
markets, with a turnover of 2.11 million Marks.

● Late 1950s: Amid East Germany’s economic 
adjustments, it was placed under WB NAGEMA 
Food Machinery Consortium, exiting agricultural 
machinery to focus on dairy equipment, with 
continuous improvements centered on hygienic 
design, stability and maintainability.
● 1958: Launched the KHA trademark to strengthen 
product identification systems.
● 1960s-1980s: Products continued to be exported 
to Europe and multiple regional markets, 
consolidating overseas market share.
● 1990: Reorganized after German reunification, 
retaining around 400 core technicians.
● 1992-1998: Incorporated into SÜDMO Schleicher 
AG, continuing to deepen separator core products.
● 1999: With support from Thuringia Development 
Company (LEG), KMA (Kyffhäuser Maschinenfabrik 
Artern) was established at the original site, taking 
over core teams and manufacturing resources, 
focusing on centrifugal technology R&D.

● 2011: Built integrated capabilities in "equipment 
manufacturing + process optimization + engineering 
services," with market coverage extending to Eastern
Europe, Latin America, and North America. Helped 
clients optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and 
enhance cooperation value.
● 2024-present: Deepened cooperation with Shanghai 
Triowin Intelligent Machinery Co., Ltd., established 
KMA-Global GmbH, and set up R&D and manufacturing 
centers in China. Leveraging "a century of centrifugal 
technology + local empowerment in China," it provides 
one-stop solutions for food and beverage clients in 
China and the Asia-Pacific, balancing performance, 
reliability, and TCO while shortening delivery cycles and 
improving spare parts availability and service reach.
